🚗 Autotronics – Level 3 Course Overview
>Autotronics combines automotive systems with electronic control technologies, preparing students to diagnose, repair, and install electronic systems used in modern vehicles. The course focuses on the integration of sensors, microcontrollers, and digital diagnostics in automotive applications.
- Understand automotive electrical and electronic fundamentals (voltage, current, resistance)
- Diagnose and repair wiring systems, relays, and electronic control modules (ECMs)- Analyze and repair systems like: Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Airbag and occupant detection systems, Central locking and security electronics
- Use digital diagnostic tools (OBD-II scanners, multimeters, oscilloscopes)
- Interpret wiring diagrams and vehicle schematics
- Apply software-based diagnostics using vehicle simulation rigs
Hands-On Projects May Include: • Project 1: Wiring and programming a model vehicle’s lighting and ignition system • Project 2: Simulate and troubleshoot ABS and airbag faults using a training rig • Project 3: Create a microcontroller-based automatic headlamp or central locking demo unit
